The Alternative PHP Cache (APC), a free, open-source cache for PHP programs, was released today by Community Connect Inc.
APC is functionally similar to the Zend Cache (http://www.zend.com/), but is open source. Community Connect Inc. uses it on all three of its websites, AsianAvenue.com, BlackPlanet.com, and MiGente.com. During the month of November 2000, BlackPlanet.com alone had over 28 million page views.
