Do Frameworks Fail? When?

Frameworks like CakePHP and Zend are great for many things, but they’re not without their faults. Tech-guy-turned-entrepreneur Jayesh Kitukale blogs about what he views as the main problems with frameworks: the learning curve, how efficient (or inefficient) the code can be, and the total cost of ownership.

He also lists the virtues that all frameworks should strive for, including cost effectiveness and enabling users to deliver their products to market faster.
