By: ToddF Profile Subject: but some more explanation would help He does mention near the end that you need to change the address if you put things on your own server - this should be described earlier, and the reason given, that a page can only use XmlHTTPRequest to retrieve data from that same site that hosts the page also, if you have put the first code on your site as "getajax.php", then the name of the second snippet needs to be changed, and the line in the first page that calls it needs to be changed I called mine getajax2.php, and changed the XHR call in the first page to reflect that you don't need to put the .gif file on your own site, since that is simply in echoed HTML, it will "hot-link" it from his site |
