The way I see it, sessions instead of the query string would probably be more appropriate. I have started a thread on the main forum concerning this, you might want to contribute there:

Your method is effectively a Vernam cipher. However, since the keys (i.e., the ASCII mappings) can be reused, it is not a one time pad, and thus it is insecure.
