By: jojo reyes Profile Subject: Abstracting the database layer If you needed to port this to another database system, you would need to change the code referencing the mysql api calls like say to postgresql api calls. By abstracting the db layer, you could encapsulate the business objects from database formats. Database api calls should be in another layer not in the business layer. just my two cents worth. |
