Subject: Getting session value

hi
i have set session , now i want to check the value of that session in other page ,
i have used the following statment:
$userid=(isset($HTTP_SESSION_VARS['UserID'])?($HTTP_SESSION_VARS['UserID']):"");

i can u plz tell me why i'm not getting that value.
