I've been trying to accomplish the same thing.. Using Php apache-module..

The trouble here, is that we need to change some of the code of the PHP build. For example, change his modules mod_php as mod_phpx , his data type to x-httpd-phpx, and so on...
Then compile it, load in apache, and in the virtualhosts who need it , add the corresponding line AddType x-httpd-phpx .php .html etc.

I haven't be able to get it fully working. But i get to load both modules, with no errors.

If it works, i'll post an "how to"
