Subject: Logging the Code Red Virus

Hey, I wanted to create a script that monitors for the cmd.exe file and the other files that are called by the code red worm when it is scanning for servers to infect... but instead of having it in my access.log file for apache i want it to do a quick whois and email the admins that are posted in the whois registry with a message telling them about the specified IP address being infected with the code red worm and also time and stuff.... would this be possible? My friend did it but i am not sure if he used php or created a program in C... Any help? Thanks, Russ
