By: Oliver Tupman Profile Subject: Fair enough, but why not a log file... I use a log file for all of my error reporting. My error handler also watches out for nasty fatal messages and e-mails 'em to me. Check out http://www.phpbuilder.com/columns/starkey20020930.php3 for the alternative. If you've got telnet or ssh access, then log in and tail -f <logfile> and you've got a real-time watch on whats happening. The added bonus is that you won't have to interrupt such things as redirects using header() because you're not outputting text. |
