Subject: RE: "Orientated" IS a word in the UK

Maybe the writer was from the UK? In Britain, the word 'oriented' is used in the same way as in the US, but with an extra syllable - 'orientated'. So for us, 'object oriented' seems truncated and is picked up by our spell checkers as incorrect...

Just a thought.
